Join the staff of Ashia for the cheetahs’ exercise schedule. You will be taken to the running field where you can watch and photograph the world’s fastest land mammals. As in the wild, cheetahs have a short burst of speed that they cannot sustain for long. Be ready with your camera or you might miss it!
*During hot summer months, the runs can be as early as 6:30am. This activity is completely based on the cheetahs’ schedule and willingness to run. The Center Tour will be either before or following the run.

A 1-hour Center Tour to give you a first-hand peek into the program and our cheetah conservation efforts. Your tour guide will provide you with multiple interesting facts about the resident animals and the latest updates from our Release and Reintroduction Program.

This is a unique opportunity to experience the cheetahs’ daily life! This is perfect for young people who have a yearning for a career with animals or for anyone who wants more of a behind-the-scenes view. Learn from our Animal Carers what it takes to look after our animals on a daily basis. Help prepare meals, assist them on feeding rounds, enrichment activities, daily cleaning activities and join staff and volunteers for a home-cooked lunch overlooking the Drakenstein mountains.
